Conestoga Mall Debuts the "Colour New"

VICTORIA, BC – Suburbia Advertising would like to congratulate Conestoga Mall on the successful completion of Phase 1 of their redevelopment project. The centre has recently undergone a $78 million expansion and renovation adding 100,000 square feet of new space, 30 new retailers, a contemporary new food court and Canada’s first in-mall heritage museum.

To mark the grand opening of the newly redeveloped centre, Conestoga Mall hosted a virtual and live celebration on October 15. Entertained by cirque acrobats and performances by Paintjam artist, Dan Dunn, record crowds filled the centre, taking advantage of opening day gift bags and in-store specials.

Suburbia Advertising developed a unique advertising campaign to promote the redevelopment that featured original and colourful paintbrush graphics with bristles that were replaced with various food and fashion objects. The promotion was designed to create awareness of the Centre’s new and existing retailers, restaurants, and the parts of the mall that were being refurbished, including the Food Court.

The creative was applied to buses, billboards, washroom stall doors, Guest Services signage, entrance doors, hoarding and the Conestoga Mall website. “It was very rewarding working with Conestoga Mall on this project,” says Virginia Boggie, Partner, Director of Client Services at Suburbia. “They pushed us to develop a concept that was very visually exciting and then rolled out the creative in a big way.”
